Grandparents Tea Party

The pupils welcomed their grandparents to a special tea party on Thursday afternoon. It was an event that the girls had taken great care in planning – designing their own invitations, making all the delicious Biscuit and Tea and decorating the Playground with posters and welcome signs.
As each of their grandparents arrived the girls served them biscuits and tea.

A highlight of the party was the dancing competition among the vibrant grandparent, the pupils were marveled and delighted to see their granny's give vintage dance steps to Evergreen songs from King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Victor Nwaifo, e.t.c

The pupils were very excited to find out more about what their grandparents’ lives were like when they were younger. Being able to compare it to what their own lives are like today was very interesting to the pupils.  They discovered how they played, what they watched on television (if they had a television) and what their grandparents’ houses were like.

Below are some clips of the party.
